This Privacy Policy applies to Canada. This policy describes the ways we, Intrax Cultural Exchange Canada and its affiliates (collectively, “Intrax Canada”) collect, store, use and protect your personal information. You have consented to the storage and use of your information for communication pertaining to the services, by providing any information through this site. We may amend this policy at any time by posting a revised version on our website. The revised version will be effective at the time we post it. We last modified this policy on October 1, 2009.
How we collect your information
When you visit the Intrax Canada website, we only collect information that you send directly to us expressly through contact forms, application forms, testing and payment. We do not collect or store any unsolicited information. If you have completed an information request form, the following type of information will be stored in our server:
- Contact information - your name, address, phone number, email, and other similar information.
If you have completed an on-line English Assessment Test, the following type of information will be stored in our server:
- Contact information – your name and email
- Test result - test score.
If you have completed an on-line Application Form, the following type of information will be stored in our server:
- Contact information - your name, address, phone, email, and other similar information.
- Program information – selected courses and other requested services
If you have made a payment through our payment system, Intrax Canada will store only the following information in our server:
- Payment information – your name, email, phone number, student ID number (provided by Intrax Canada) and the amount for your payment
All financial information including credit card numbers and personal information for credit card payment is processed through Moneris Solutions www.moneris.com and the information is sent directly to Moneris. Intrax Canada does not store or have access to the payer’s information sent through Moneris.
How we protect and store personal information
The information outlined in this privacy policy pertains to information which can be used to identify an individual. We do not consider personal information to include information that has been anonymized so that it does not identify a specific user. We store and process your personal information on our servers in the US, and we protect it by maintaining physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in compliance with applicable law. We use computer safeguards such as firewalls and data encryption, we enforce physical access controls to our buildings and files, and we authorize access to personal information only for those employees who require it to fulfill their job responsibilities.
